1. Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use PRASA ai: the free app (prasaai.co.za/app), the website (prasaai.co.za), the 3D world, or our WhatsApp service while it is still running. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use PRASA ai.

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and big changes are also shown in the app. If you keep using PRASA ai after a change, you accept the updated terms.

2. Who we are

PRASA ai is an independent service built and run by System Sol, a South African company based in Cape Town.

3. What PRASA ai provides

PRASA ai is free. There is no account and no sign-up. It helps PRASA train riders in Cape Town, Gauteng, Durban and East London with:

• The app: next trains, where to change, a chat-style ask box, line alerts and crowd reports, with the timetable kept on your phone so it works offline.
• The website: PRASA's published timetables by region, line, station and route, and a box that answers your trip on the page.
• The 3D world: a map that shows where trains should be according to the timetable.
• WhatsApp: our first service, which we are phasing out. It may not reply, and it may be switched off at any time.

Using PRASA ai costs nothing, but your network provider may charge you for the mobile data your phone uses.

4. Accuracy of information

Train times are PRASA's published, scheduled times, not live times. Trains on the 3D map are placed where the timetable says they should be; they are estimates, not live positions. Service alerts come from published sources and may be late or incomplete. We do not show fares yet. We do our best to keep everything accurate and up to date, but timetables do not show real-time changes, delays or cancellations.

5. Answers from our online helper

Questions the app can't answer on its own are sent to our server, which uses an AI service to understand them (see the Privacy Policy). AI answers can be wrong. If an answer matters, check it against the timetable.

6. Crowd reports

Crowd reports (on time, late, no train, full) come from other riders and are anonymous. We combine them to give a general picture, but we do not check individual reports. Conditions change quickly, so use them as a guide, not a guarantee.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, PRASA ai and System Sol are not responsible for:

• Missed trains or connections
• Incorrect or outdated timetable, alert or crowd information
• Travel decisions you make based on our information
• Any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of PRASA ai

You use PRASA ai at your own discretion. We provide information to help, but the decision about your journey is always yours.

8. Availability

PRASA ai is provided "as is". We aim to keep it running, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.

We may change, suspend or stop any part of PRASA ai at any time, with or without notice. We will try to announce big changes in advance.

9. Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use PRASA ai.

10. Using PRASA ai fairly

When you use PRASA ai, you agree not to:

• Abuse, spam or misuse it in any way
• Send false or misleading crowd reports
• Try to overload, disrupt or interfere with our systems
• Use it for anything unlawful

We may limit or block use that breaks these rules.

11. Your data

What we keep, why and for how long is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: the app, website and 3D world need no account, and your trips and settings stay on your phone.

12. Deleting your data

• The app, the website and the 3D world: your data is on your phone. Clear the website's data in your browser, or remove the app.
• WhatsApp: send delete my data in the chat.
• Anything else: email info@prasaai.co.za.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of PRASA ai will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Western Cape High Court, Cape Town.
